Training with Jessie


I’ve been a personal trainer at Goodlife Fitness since the Guelph Pergola Commons club opened back in September ’12.  I did my Canfitpro Personal Training Specialist certification summer of 2012, and since the club opened quickly excelled to being one of the most successful trainers at that club. With my clientele filling up within just a few months, I’ve been blessed to work with some amazing people helping them achieve goals they didn’t believe imaginable.

October 2014 I transferred clubs and became a trainer at Goodlife Meadowvale Town Centre in Mississauga, excited for a change of scenery and pace, excited to excel at a new location and expand my learning and experience.

February 2015 brought new opportunity as I was offered the Fitness Manager position at Women’s Only Goodlife Glen Erin in Mississauga. Not only can I continue to train people and change lives, but I can impact exponentially more as I help lead a team of amazing trainers.

Always striving to be the best version of myself, I’ve spent the couple of years avidly researching new training techniques and learning as much as possible on diet and nutrition. I participated in the Darby Training Systems Level One Certification back in February 2013, which included courses on postural anatomy, program design, and client assessment. Since taking this course I’ve passed my exam through Goodlife to be a Level Three Elite Trainer, and am that much more equipped to help clients achieve what they want most in a safe, healthy, and maintainable way. Other courses include Poliquin Group’s Biosignature on skinfold calipers and hormonal imbalances, and Introduction to Hardstyle Kettlebell.

I work with a wide variety of clients, from mid teens to mid sixties, with a variety of goals. Specializing in major weight loss was why I got started, as it was what I had personally gone through. But as I work with clients with smaller weight loss goals, and goals more focused on tone, muscle growth, or even pain management, I’ve seen just how rewarding that can be as well.

I love working with people who are passionate about their goals, whatever those goals may be. Whether you want to lose weight, put on muscle, tone up, have more energy, or just learn how to work out, I can help you. Personal training helps you with three main things, education, motivation, and accountability. I personally believe that every single person could benefit from personal training, but I don’t think they need it for life! My goal is to help you achieve your goals, educating you along the way and building the right habits so you can continue to maintain for the rest of your life. This isn’t a quick fix. This is a life change.
